Sensitivity brings us together

Prestigious halls, sold out concerts, meetings with fans, the biggest Chinese media… The first stage of the ongoing Polish Circles of Art in China Festival was a success. Grzegorz Niemczuk moved audiences with his interpretations of Frédéric Chopin’s music.
– This year’s Festival began with a bang and I’m happy that I could take part in such a fascinating project. I’m leaving China floating on air. This concert tour will forever stay in my memory. Packed concert halls, a sensitive and moved audience. There is nothing more wonderful for a artist-musician than realizing that his art reaches the souls of listeners, delighting and moving them. That is what I felt in China. Perhaps cultraly, this country is significantly away from us, but it’s sensitivity towards music and emotions within it are the same – said Grzegorz Nimeczuk upon returning to Poland.
During the tour opening the Festival, Grzegorz Niemczuk gave six concerts in five cities – more here. Chinese critics highly rated the skills of our pianist. Enchanted audiences continuously applauded his performances, which always finished with an encore.
– We believe that art can bring our nations closer. Especially this year, when we’re celebrating the 70th anniversary of establishing contact between Poland and the People’s Republic of China. Niemczuk’s tour was a bold opening of this year’s edition of the Polish Circles of Art in China Festival – said Festival director Wojciech Majewski – We are thankful for all the positive comments and warm welcome, but we do not intend to stop there – he assured.
More to come on other activities taking place during this year’s Circles in China – our events are planned out until the end of 2019.
