Piano workshops in the form of an individual masterclass viewed by an audience. Elements of the workshop are, among others, the following:
– Individual work with the participants chosen for the masterclass, together with the discussion with the public about specific problems of the interpretation;
– Focus on details of the touch, quality of the sound, colors;
– Control of pedaling, correct phrasing, rhythm;
– Understanding the performed piece of music, the inner message of the music;
– Resolving particular problems of every student;

 

Grzegorz Niemczuk belongs to the most active Polish classical pianists of the young generation. He has traveled the world and given more than 400 recitals and concerts in 31 different countries on all 6 continents. Admired for his sensitivity, poetry, beautiful sound and passionate virtuosity he became a favorite with audiences and critics alike. His interpretations of Chopin’s music were placed in 2017 by the National Polish Radio together with those by Martha Argerich, Maurizio Pollini and Adam Harasiewicz.
Niemczuk’s vast repertoire consists of more than 200 solo pieces and 30 piano concerti ranging from the Baroque to the contemporary era. His particular specialty is the Romantic period.
During the last few seasons Grzegorz Niemczuk made his debuts as a soloist with numerous philharmonic orchestras, including New York Concerti Sinfonietta, Tokyo Mozart Virtuoso Orchestra, Busan Philharmonic Orchestra, Cracow Philharmonic Orchestra. He has performed as a soloist under the baton of distinguished conductors.
Grzegorz Niemczuk is the prizewinner of more than 15 piano competitions, notably a winner of the 2013 International Carnegie Hall Concerto Debut Competition in New York City and the 40th National Frederic Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (2010).
Mr. Niemczuk graduated with the highest distinction from K. Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice in the class of renowned Professor Józef Stompel. He continued his piano studies in New York City, Mannes College (International Keyboard Institute and Festival) where his teachers were prominent artists. Between 2009 and 2012 he stayed under the artistic care of a teacher and mentor Jeffrey Swann (New York Steinhardt University). He has also attended many masterclasses where he has collaborated with many great artists.
Grzegorz Niemczuk has received many honorable awards. In addition to his performing career, he is also a dedicated pedagogue and currently serves on the piano faculty of the Silesian University in Katowice, Poland.
