Believable creature design based on the biology of real animals

The talk about how to create believable creature design based on biological science. It analyzes the most important factors of reliable creature design, shows the most important features that should be contained in a creature’s visual storytelling and explain how biological knowledge of real species can help to capture them. The talk is illustrated with practical examples of creature’s concept arts.

Marta Słupska is 2D Artist at Anshar Studios since 2014, Fine Arts Master’s degree in Game’s Art at Silesian University.

The latest Anshar’s 1st party project was “Detached” – a space exploration and survival FPX and “Telefrag VR” – a PvP VR arena shooter set in futuristic setting. The developers are currently focusing on a few promising projects including isometric cyberpunk adaptive RPG game “Gamedec”. The studio is also involved in the development of a few undisclosed projects for a group of premium tier customers.
