Art workshop

“What’s in us” – showing emotions on the example of the selected animal theme.
“Do we have to see the air that we breathe” – a poster dealing with the topic of eco – threats and prevention.
The workshop aims to encourage participants to reflective and analytical approach to the topic. Selection of graphic means classic workshop (any format, drawing, painting, graphic, all mixed) excluding digital media connected with the use of a mental shortcut, metaphors will determine the quality of the resulting projects.
In the era of new media and the Internet, students and designers are often forgetting about the basic graphic workshop.
The didactic method will be the so-called professor proofreading – conversation with the participant of the workshop, individual and collective.
Materials needed: sketching papers, A3 paper (cardboard, bristol various colors), paints (acrylic, tempera, watercolor), brushes, sponges, inks, crayons, markers, pencils, scissors, glues, adhesive tapes, paper cutters, necessary materials for the collage, water cups.

PhD Sebastian Kubica (born in 1975) is an artist and scientist who feels great in graphics as well as in drawing and illustration. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. An authorial poster and illustration studio has been operating at the University of Silesia since 2004 under his supervision. He is the author of several dozen individual exhibitions and participant of several hundred group presentations and a juror of artistic competitions in Poland and around the world. Winner of many prestigious awards. Since 2014, he has been a member of the Polish branch of FECO (Federation of Cartoonists Organizations) and since 2015 – AGI (Alliance Graphique Internationale).
