The review of „8 masterpieces of Polish Cinema” is going to be one of the important events of the 2nd Edition of the „Polish Circles of Art in China Festival”. Classical and contemporary achievements of Polish cinematography will be presented during the festival.
The grand opening of the festival will take place on the 4th November 2017. The film which will officially open the review is “Blind Chance” directed by Krzysztof Kieslowski.
During the last year’s edition of the festival Chinese audience showed a great interest in Polish films filling every seat in the auditoria. That is why this year we want to continue the screenings of the outstanding Polish movies in the biggest auditorium in Beijing, China Film Archive. The chosen films will also be shown during the 4th International Film Festival Silk Road in Fuzhou and all the films will be shown in two cinemas in Changsha.
Besides the above mentioned „Blind Chance”, the audience will be able to see “Danton” and “Pan Tadeusz” by Andrzej Wajda, “Night Train” by Jerzy Kawalerowicz, “My Nikifor” by Krzysztof Krauze, “Closed Loop” by Ryszard Bugajski, “Warsaw 44” by Jan Komasa and “You are god” by Leszek Dawid.
The screenings will take place in Beijing till the end of the year 2017.
1st edition of the “Polish Circles of Art in China Festival” took place in October and November 2016. Chinese news bulletins and social media called the festival “the most important Polish cultural event of the year 2016 in China.”
